Don started Hirt’s Service in 2004, moving on from a two-decade career as an engineer and manufacturing plant manager. His passion for building and serving his community has contributed to his reputation as an honest and trustworthy contractor and tradesman. Don holds a BSME from Rose Hullman and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.

When he has free time, Don enjoys biographies, science fiction, and ice cold Budweiser.

DESIGNER + CONTRACTOR

Anderson Hirt apprenticed under his father from a young age, resulting in construction and mechanical know-how becoming second nature. His instinctual interest in creative problem-solving led him to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where he continued to pursue his passions and received a formal Architectural education. He practiced Architecture for two years before deciding to return to his roots and design and build smaller scale projects within his community.

Anderson loves spending time with his wife Carolanna and their dog Cash. He is a life long lifter and would love to help you design your own home gym!

Amy Hirt provides a feminine counterbalance at the drafting board. She is a crucial aid to uninitiated homeowners embarking on their first renovation projects. Amy is available at every stage of your project to consult on space layout, materials, fixtures, furniture, and finishes. After years of experience and dozens of projects, Amy has developed key relationships with local suppliers and an intimacy with the process that will give you the peace of mind you need when deciding to invest in your home.

Amy also enjoys mystery novels, playing tennis competitively, and volunteers at GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down syndrome achievement center in Brentwood, TN.
